Made a quick stop for a BBQ sandwich and it was delicious. There is a drive through which I didn't see initially. Owners were extremely nice and helpful. Worth the stop and much better than fast food. I had two sandwiches in about 2 minutes.

Didn’t pay attention to atmosphere but tacos did get a lil smaller than when they started but they are still GOOD!!! (That’s what my husband said) this my first rime trying the jail house taco and going. We had 3 tacos was around 24 really stuffed tacos

A true Texas BBQ experience! Great food and excellent service. As transplants from Utah we loved the rustic, outdoor dining. The owner was so kind and treated us like family. We had the meat plates with chopped brisket and sausage. Get here early to get the regular brisket.

We were driving through Bastrop and decided to look for BBQ. We passed a few on the other side of the highway and searched Google and luckily found Fitties BBQ. It's in a trailer, a bit off the beaten path, but worth it for sure!!! The brisket and sausage meal was amazing! Also the Lucy lean brisket sandwich was loaded with meat, juicy and tender. Be prepared to take it home or pull over up the road to eat it. They only have a drive thru but thats not a deal breaker. Their food is too good to pass up!

Stopped by to grab some lunch. Grabbed a 3 meat plate (Lean Brisket, Ribs and a second helping of brisket). Double side of potato salad. Everything was outstanding. Meats were tender and full of flavor. Great BBQ sauce. Just the right amount of sweet to complement the savory smoked flavor of the meat. Probably the best potato salad that I have had in Texas. Service was excellent. Nice little drive thru. Mentioned that I was looking forward to the breakfast menu which is served until 11:00. I missed it by 30 minutes. Fortunately I was able to get my hands on a "Marty" breakfast taco while waiting for the meal. Absolutely delicious. Just the right amount of each of the ingredients (Bacon, potatoes, brisket, a little beans and BBQ sauce). Not one item was over powering the other. Great balance. Can't wait to go back.

Fitties, a family-run business, is always a pleasure to work with. Their kindness is truly appreciated. Last Thanksgiving, I used their meal package to cater my Thanksgiving dinner, and it was the best one yet! I only had to prepare the family traditions that bring me joy, eliminating the stress of cooking everything on time, keeping it warm, and spending hours in the kitchen, only to have 30-45 minutes around the table with family. Their smoked turkey was even better than any homemade turkey I've ever tasted. Fitties is Bastrop's best-kept secret, and their pricing is excellent.

Fitties BBQ is a delicious hidden gem tucked inside a humble trailer park off Highway 71 in Bastrop. The moment you pull in, you’ll notice the simplicity of the setup—no frills, just a smoker-filled trailer with serious barbecue game. The menu is posted on a rustic wooden fence, and despite the informal vibe, everything is well-organized and inviting. One thing to know in advance: customers are required to order through the drive-through window—even if you’re dining on-site. According to the friendly staff, this rule exists because of their insurance policy. It helps reduce liability by keeping all customer activity within designated drive-through zones. So even if it feels unnecessary, you’ll need to circle through with your vehicle. After picking up your food, you’re welcome to sit at the picnic tables scattered around the grassy lot. That’s exactly what I did—enjoying a hearty plate of ribs, sausage, potato salad, and beans. The portion was generous, the flavors smoked to perfection, and the price very reasonable (20 all-in). My only gripe? The flies. It’s Texas, it’s summer, and it’s open air—so come prepared to defend your meal. Overall, if you’re looking for honest BBQ in a low-key setting, Fitties delivers. Just follow the rules, bring bug spray, and let the smoky flavors do the rest.

So we were in town for wedding and wanted to get something to eat before getting to resort. We tried Fitties BBQ wow I am so happy I found this place. The owner is so nice and had a great talk with him. We got chopped Brisket and Brisket sandwich. You can trust this fat boy it was good sandwich. I will definitely be back. If in the area worth the stop
